Hello Alicia fans! I unfortunately had to miss out on the last two weeks of Tomb Raider promotion, due to a lot going on in my offline life. During these days, Alicia was a guest at several talk shows (which we alerted you about in the days leading up to them!). Instead of making a post for each now, I’m just gonna make a master-post with all the video clips and screen captures! Some of these already got their own posts with production stills, but I have now finished adding screen captures from all the major talk shows I could find from the film promotion tour. These includes Jimmy Fallon, James Corden and Noite Com Danilo Gentili, and I have also finally added screen captures from her February appearances on Skavlan and The Graham Norton Show! A total of 2000+ HD screen captures have been added, and you can find links to each below. I really love watching Alicia on talk shows, as she’s always so laid back and fun – if you missed any of these while they aired, you should definitely check them out below the cut! I especially loved her Jimmy Fallon appearance, where she once again played a hilarious Swedish game with Jimmy. Have fun watching 😉

This is the 6th promotion interviews master-post this promo tour, and the biggest one we’ve done yet. These are from various countries, so keep in mind some are dubbed or subtitled. In addition to the new videos, I have also updated our gallery with screen captures from the majority of them. For all the new additions, just head over to our Screen Captures > Interviews section! Have fun watching – I will be catching up on her recent talk shows up next, stay tuned. For those interested, here you can find the previous video posts: Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 4, Post 5.
Hello Alicia fans! On March 14, Alicia surprised fans at a special fan screening of “Tomb Raider” in New York City! Judging by these photos, it was very appreciated by the fans who showed up (several in great Lara costumes). Our gallery has been updated with high quality photos! I’m sorry these took so long, but they weren’t very easy to get a hold of in high quality. Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow, as I’ll be catching up on screen captures, videos and magazine scans. I have also made a lot of gallery updates today, so make sure to check the last uploads for all the pretty new photos.
Last night (March 15), Alicia made an appearance on El Hormiguero 3.0 TV Show which aired in Spain. She looked adorable! High-quality images have been added to our gallery.
Marie Claire US — Alicia Vikander likes making plans. When she was 12 years old, she looked at the year 2018 on a calendar and thought about what her life would be like then. “I realized I’d be 30, and in my head, 30 was the year you became an adult, so I remember thinking, Hopefully I’m going to have something good by then, but I’m also going to be old.”
Vikander laughs—a lovely husky sound that rings out across the garden of L.A.’s Chateau Marmont, where she sits without a bit of makeup on, relaxed and glowing in cropped Paige jeans and a long-sleeve navy t-shirt. She’s just back from skiing in the French Alps over New Year’s (“It was amazing!”). Her dark wavy hair is air-dried, her tobacco-brown eyes warm, a Louis Vuitton Petite Malle bag tossed casually to one side. It’s the day after the Golden Globes, where Vikander presented the award for Best Motion Picture Comedy to Greta Gerwig for Lady Bird, and the hotel is bustling with postmortem cheer. A sleepy-eyed Dakota Johnson comes up, murmurs,“Morning…” and envelops Vikander in a bearhug. Once she’s gone, Vikander smiles wryly and continues, “The nice thing is, life has only gone better than I’d imagined.”
[…]
“It’s interesting that a character that has been seen as very sexualized back in the ’90s is very different now,” says Vikander. “If you go out in the street and ask men and women, young and old, what they find attractive, it’s different. You want her to be attractive and sexy, but, nowadays, you want this to be a girl that fights. Someone who’s vulnerable, but funny. Someone who’s OK with people seeing her bad sides.”
In some ways, Vikander’s Lara Croft seems tailor-made for the #MeToo movement. She’s all about strength and grit, taking on challenges. Survival. There is no love story in the film, no steamy shower scenes or sultry pursing of lips before throwing punches. Instead, we see her bruised and bloodied but never down for the count. “She always stands up,” says Vikander. “When things are found to be quite shit, she always sees the bright side. She just keeps on going.”
